Contemporary Family Home

Wandsworth

2007

Whilst completed a few years ago now, this contemporary family home garden reveals a common trend for large open windows and doors as well as using basements for more than just storage. A complicated architectural rendering of steps gave us a challenge to create a focussed, architectural planting to the house.

We were fortunate to be able to retain an old apple tree just halfway down the garden under which a terrace could be sited with a large table to seat 10. The tree also acts as a focal point. A lawn and space for children to play and screening to the rear of the garden to provide privacy from Wandsworth Common complete the picture.

“The garden is heavenly at this time of the year, we still absolutely adore it” M
