Victoria & Albert Museum

South Kensington

2008
We have created a number of installations for the V&A, the UK’s national museum of design, including this field of flowers in the old sculpture gallery. The echo water feature by Art in the Landscape in the centre of our installation created a mesmerising focus within the field which was installed for one single day so that visitors could return through the day to see the flowers unfold and release their fragrance into the gallery.

The installation was later credited with inspiring the location of objects including a Renaissance fountain when the gallery was later refurbished. Other installations at other times have included the recreation of a Rococco ballgown in 4000 fresh flowers and a temporary garden video booth.
